HONGKONG AND MACAU.
Hongkong and Macau were British and Portuguese Colonies respectively before they were handed over to China as per agreements. It is gratifying that China has maintained the very European life-styles. Hongkong is truly a world city, while Macau still has the prominent Portuguese architectural style. While Hongkong has still much of the British legacy left, Macau has lost quite a bit of the Portuguese life-style Both the places are a travel photographer's paradise.
BANGKOK AND SOUTH WEST CHINA.
China has been a dream destination since school days. Although India and China are neighbours, due to the vastness of both the countries, and the inhospitable nature of the wilderness of the Himalayas along most of the international border, it is not easy to visit China overland. Hopefully, the day will come soon when it will be possible to do so.
A short while ago I was lucky enough to visit Foshan, near Guangzhou, in the heart-land of rural China via Hongkong. Only for a few days but was able to partially realize my dream of school days. Would need months, if not years, to explore the beautiful country.
Thailand is another beautiful country but alas only a few days in Bangkok were all I could spend. Future visits are definitely on the cards. The images are from those brief encounters in South West China and Bangkok.
